My ST status doesn't apply in Assam for State Quota...as I am ST from Uttarakhand and have Domicile Certificate for UK. And as per Uttarakhand State Eligibility condition for NEET UG, students need not to do Class X and XII from Uttarakhand, if domicile document is there. is it true?

Hi there,

For any state the state of eligibility criteria is about 2 things:

  • If you have done 10+2 from that state that state becomes your home state in counselling, you can avail state quota of that state.
  • If you have the permanent residence proof for any state in your name  or a similar certificate in your name then you can avail state quota of that particular state.
  • No state can deny it until further notice.
