my streem is commerce can I get admission in anm and gnm college
Hello Aspirant,
Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) is a medical nursing course of total 2 years duration which includes 6 months of the internship whereas General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a 3-year and 6-month diploma course especially for those aspirants who want to pursue a career in clinical nursing. Now, if we go through the common eligibility criteria of ANM and GNM then it says that :-
- The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with English as one of the mandatory subjects along with the science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as their main subjects with at least 40% aggregate marks in both general and compulsory subjects.
- Also the candidates who have passed Class 12th examination from National Institute of Open School or State Open School are also considered eligible for ANM and GNM admission.
- The minimum age for ANM and GNM admission is 17 years and the maximum age of the admission is 35 years.
- Candidates who have passed 10+2 in Health care Science or Vocational stream are also eligible to apply.
So it clearly shows that you are not eligible for ANM and GNM admissions if you are from commerce background and not having the mandatory subjects as enlisted above.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
