1. Any student who has passed or appearing for final year degree examination in any discipline ( Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering from any approved university is eligible to apply.

2. Apart from this there is another prerequisite for taking admission in MCA degree; one must have studied Mathematics in 10+2 as a compulsory subject or any one year of graduation. BCA Qualified candidates can pusue MCA.

Hello krishnamurthy, the thing is the BA students are not eligible for MCA course. Although BA person is eligible only if they have or had mathematics/ statistics/ business mathematics in their graduation.



This is because MCA need extensive use of mathematics and if your background is not with the same then you will face very hard difficulties, although you can apply for corresponds or distance education...



One more thing you can do - you can apply for diploma with MCA, that might work incase if you really want to do MCA...

MCA course is required to have a Bachelors degree in Computer science, Information Science, etc from a recognized university. The student who are applying for MCA should have studied maths as the main subject at (10+2) level are only eligible.

The candidates must have passed with minimum 50% to 60% aggregate in graduation depending upon the entrance or college requirement as it varies accordingly.
