According to the past year trends, The last rank for biotech in VIT Vellore can go up as high as 50k - 55k.

Owing to the increase of awareness of biotech in India, this year’s counseling may last up to 45k - 50k.

So depending upon that it might be difficult for you to get a seat in the main campus. Although you have a slight possibility of managing a seat in seat Biotech in other campuses of VIT.

According to previous years cutoffs you will not get Biotechnology in VIT VELLORE. It's cutoffs varies from rank 25000 to 20000. Every year their is only a slight change in the cuttoffs. Therefore there is no chance of getting Biotechnology in VELLORE.

I would suggest you to go for other entrance exam or colleges rather than waiting for the counseling. You can also drop a year and prepare hardly for next time.
