Phase 1 is upto 20,000 and most of the seats in Computer science engineering category and Information technology category 2 will be almost over before phase 2 starts and phase 2 is for ranks between 20,000 to 40,000 and almost the other core branches like Mechanical engineering, civil engineering, Electrical and electronics engineering,  electronics and communication engineering will be filling fast too so, then there will be a little chance for you in these branches and the VIT Vellore all branches will get filled filled around 22,000 so, you will have a chance to get into these branches.
