The cutoff ranks for computer science and engineering group are always very high as compared to any other branch.

Expected cutoffs at Vellore campus are :-

1) CSE : under 6,000

2) CSE with specialization in Information Security : under 7,000

3) CSE with specialization in Bioinformatics : under 10,000

4) Information Technology : under 11,000

Expected cutoffs at Chennai campus are:-

1) CSE : under 10,000

2) Electronics and Computer engineering : under 12,000

As you can see here, with your rank of approximately 36,000 it is not possible to get a seat for any CSE related branch in Vellore or Chennai even.



If you want CSE only,

You will have to go for VIT Amaravati or Bhopal campus. These campuses are the newer ones. Hence cutoffs here are low. You can try there.

You'll get a seat for sure.
