My wbjee rank is 5100 and I am from west bengal general category . Can I get a chance to study in Kalyani government engineering college ?

Kalyani government engineering college was started in 1995.The admission here is done through WBJEE.
Here is a list of previous year cutoffs in KGEC for general:
- CSE:1502
- Mechanical:3533
- IT:2933
- ECE:2180
- EEE:2925
The cutoffs keep changing every year based on various factors but they will be almost around the previous year cutoffs.In case you do not get into a government college you can try for private ones .

The cutoffs change every year as this is based on various factors. But Going by previous few years' data, computer Science and Engineering branch in Kalyani government engineering college gets filled within 1500 rank after round 3 of counselling. And the mechanical branch gets filled within 3500 rank, this is the branch with highest closing rank. With 5100 rank, you can expect all branches expect CSE in Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College. Or else, there are many top private engineering colleges like IEM, Techno India Salt lake, Heritage Institute of Technology with this rank. You can expect Mechanical, Electrical and Electrical and Electronics branch in IEM. As per your rank, you can get CSE in Techno India Salt lake as last year the closing rank was 5142. In government colleges, you can get CSE in Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology. Placement wise this college is good for CSE. Mass recruiters like TCS, infosys etc. With this rank, top branches of almost all private engineering colleges are achievable.
