You should start with the basics first i.e., the NCERT text books, followed by reference books and sample papers. You can go for books like

* History Of Modern India by Bipan Chandra. (History)

* India's Ancient Past by R.S. Sharma. (History)

* India's Struggle For Independence by Bipan Chandra. (History)

* Geography of India by Majid Husain. (Geography)

* Certificate Physical and Human Geography by Goh Cheng Leong. (Geography)

* Indian Economy by Ramesh Singh. (Economy)

You can read Competition Success magazine.
