MEd or Master of Education is a master degree course that revolves around the the discipline of research, innovation and educational training. It is an instruction, based curriculum. The regulatory body in charge of the MEd programme is National Council of Higher Education (NCHE).

MEd has a duration of two years and is divided into four semester. There are also some universities/ colleges offer one-year duration MEd programme. The course is offered in various subjects and specialisations.

The skillset for M.ED candidates are : Confidence, Adaptive behaviour,Leadership, Observation.

The Masters of Education course in Nagaon College of Education, is a full time two post-graduate course offered by Gauhati University, Guwahati. It has 50 seats.

The minimum eligibility for admission to M.ED course is an academic record of at least 50% in the following courses.

(i) B.Ed

(ii) BA B.Ed, B.ScB.Ed

(iii) B.El.Ed

(iv) D.El.Ed with an undergraduate Degree (with 50% marks in each)
