There are numerous benefits for everyone who joins the NCC in school or college. Here are few listed below:

1) Students with the NCC 'A' certificate gets some advantage as far as marks are concerned in most of the tests conducted by the Indian Army in almost all the wings. There is no other advantage in some different field of government job. This is also a precursor to getting your 'B' certificate.

2) Students with the NCC 'B' certificate gets extra marks in telecommunication department & few other public sectors & obviously you need to get the 'B' certificate if you want the 'C' certificate.

3) The 'C' certificate is the most important certificate amongst the others. It adds advantage to your profile if you want to join the Army or the Civil Services in the future.

Candidates with the 'C' certificate do not need to appear for the CDS exam conducted by the UPSC.

This certificate also awards you with 10-15 extra marks during the recruitment in parliamentary forces like in BSF, CRPF, CISF, etc.

There are seats reserved in The Indian Army, The Indian Navy, The Indian Air Force for candidates with the 'C' certificate.
