The only difference that you have already mentioned is that BCA is a bachelor's degree programme while MCA is post graduation programme. BCA is one of the best courses opted by most of the students nowadays. BCA will help you to placed in top MNCs or IT Companies as a software developer, Technical analyst, Tech Support, Programmer and under many job roles like this. If you are wishing to go for higher studies, you can do MCA. This is the best option you can have after BCA. MCA will add an extra edge and update your skills & experience, will help you to place in good companies with decent pay scales. If you want to go for more technical expertise of application study of computers go ahead with MCA. Candidates with BCA degree can also get good packages. But many companies give preference to a candidate with MCA degree rather than a BCA Candidate. As doing post graduation in the relevant field will give you more knowledge.
