The cutoffs are decided after the exam based on the percentile score and difficulty of questions and the number of students who could answer that question.

Hello priyanka,

The expected cutoff for an exam is only declared after the exam has been conducted according to the difficulty level of the paper. Generally, to clear neet and secure a medical seat,you must score above 500, but last year due to increased competition and easy level of the paper the cut off went very high.Also, as the seats in various medical colleges were increased, students scoring 530-540 were able to get admission.
