The union cabinet has approved the setting up of National Testing Agency (NTA) that will be conducting examinations like JEE Main, NEET-UG, UGC, NET, CTET, etc. The exams will be conducted online and will likely be conducted twice a year. If given a green signal, it will bring relief to students who often have to face undue pressure especially for exams like NEET which are conducted immediately after the board exams are over. The agency will function as an autonomous body and will be chaired by a personnel appointed by MHRD.

From now onwards NTA (National Testing Agency) will be conducting  NEET as it has been approved from Union Cabinet which was chaired by Prime Minister.
