Lets first compare NEET and AIIMS under different categories and assign points to each depending on which is more difficult, considering that point.
A. With respect to subjects
1. NEET - Physics (45 questions, 180 marks), Chemistry (45 questions, 180 marks), Biology (90 questions, 360 marks)
2. AIIMS - Physics (60 questions, 60 marks), Chemistry (60 questions, 60 marks), Biology (60 questions, 60 marks), GK and Logic (20 questions, 20 marks)
Physics
AIIMS Physics Question is comparatively more difficult. AIIMS Difficulty Point= +1
Chemistry
Both NEET and AIIMS Chemistry Questions are of same difficulty level.
Biology
NEET Biology question is more difficult (as AIIMS Biology questions are entirely from NCERT). NEET Difficulty Point = +1
GK and Logic
Only comes in AIIMS. AIIMS Difficulty Point = +1
B. With respect to Marking Scheme
In NEET, for each incorrect response you get -1, for correct response you get +4. For no response, you get 0.
In AIIMS, for each incorrect response you get -1/3, for correct response you get +1. For no response, you get 0.
Comparing Negative marking, NEET gives you less penalty as compared to AIIMS. AIIMS Difficulty Point = +1
C. With respect to number of seats
AIIMS has very limited number of seats as compared to NEET. AIIMS Difficulty Point = +1
D. Number of candidates appearing
NEET has huge number of applicants. NEET Difficulty Point = +1
TOTAL DIFFICULTY POINTS -
AIIMS - 4
NEET - 2
So clearly, AIIMS is tougher.
