NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
1. Number of candidates appearing
2. Number of newly opened govt. medical colleges
3. Difficulty of Question Paper (major factor)
4. State you belong to
Getting a government seat under State Quota is easier than getting a seat under All India Quota (AIQ) as marks to obtain a seat via State Quota is much less.
Morever, if you have any reservations, cut off marks decrease depending on the reservation you have.
In 2018, cut off for Govt. Seat (General Unreserved Category) via AIQ was around 540.
You must aim for 540+ for making your chances higher to get a seat in Medical Govt. College.
Hello Anushka
It would be difficult to tell you exactly the marks required for admission as the cutoff varies every year from College to college depending on various factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, number of candidates appearing in the exam, etc.
Marks required for admission to seats under All India Quota is higher than marks required for seats under State quota.
You should aim to score 550+ marks in the NEET UG examination for admission to Government medical college.
Good Luck!
