National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to around 1,63,150 MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and BVSc & AH seats. Putting an end to all speculations, the Education Minister of India, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has tweeted that experts have been advised to review the situation and submit its recommendation for NEET 2020 conduction or postponement to MHRD, latest by July 3. It is highly expected that due to the requests of parents NEET will be postponed to a new date. Earlier HRD Minister has announced NEET exam date , which is July 26, 2020, and a total of 16.84 lakh aspirants will take the exam from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. After the cancellation of the remaining exams of CBSE on June 25, 2020, the chances of NEET postponement has also increased. Human Resource and Development (HRD) Minister during a live interview has confirmed that as of now NEET is going to be conducted as per its schedule. Whereas NTA has not made any decision over NEET 2020 postponed or not. With this, the NEET postponed petition has been started online.
