NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
Lalita, to be eligible for NEET, belonging to SC Category, you should score a minimum aggregate of 40% in your Physics, Chemistry and Biology in your 12th. Now, that is good enough to write NEET exam. But to qualify in NEET exam, as a Candidate belonging to SC Category, you should score atleast 40 percentile of the top NEET score. For example, in 2019, 701 was the top NEET score and SC cut off was 107-133. Now cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Now, every State has its own cut offs. Say for example you belong to UP, 85% of the Govt. Medical Seats will be for UP Domicile candidates following reservations and the rest 15% will be allotted to the Central Pool. This means those who are not from UP but also want to study in UP, will have to apply through this 15% All India Quota. Now the same way, except for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, if you want to study in any other State, you can apply for 15% All India Quota. Now the marks to get into a Medical College through All India Quota is different from State Quota. Now every State has its own cut offs for every Category If your target is a MBBS seat in a Government Medical College, your target should be atleast 550. This might be more in few States and lesser in other States. This is a general cut off information for you because we do not know which State you belong to.
