NIT Hamirpur is better than jamia millia islamia. The Average salary offer in Nit hamirpur is around 6.50 lpa  while average salary offer in jamia millia is 4.80 lpa . This is only difference because almost all thing including infrastructure,  facilities,  faculty.. seems apparently same.

Fees of Nit Hamirpur is more and almost double than jamia millia islamia.  And eligibility criteria in nit hamirpur is it required  75% in 12th  for general while it is 50%in jamia . If you are eligible than you can go for nit hamirpur.

humaatufa21 , Both are good colleges but if we select one then I should prefer NIT Hamirpur because it has median salary package was  about 6.5 lakh but the ees is high approx 7.3 lakh but in Jamia millia islamia  fees is less about 3.2 lakh means half but the median salary package was about 4.8 lakh.

So both are good only select on the basis of fees otherwise both are best.
