To take admission in one of the National Institutes of Technologies, you'll have to give an examination called Joint Entrance Examination (Main), or JEE Main.

You'll also have to PASS your class XIIth examination and the syllabus of JEE Main is Physics, Chemistry and  Mathematics of class XI and XII. Moreover, you can only give JEE Main in 3 consecutive years, like if you have given your class XII boards in 2018, then you can give JEE Main only in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

All the best!

Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing absolutely great.

So with regard to your query, in order to get admission in NITs, one need to write the JEE Mains exam, and qualify in it. The exam is conducted every year for the students who had qualified 10+2 with 75% of aggregate marks in general category. Further, if you are qualified in Mains exam, then you need to give the JEE Advanced exam, and after qualifying the exam you will be getting seat in IIT.
