I don't know about any other university however my sister is currently enrolled in MBA program of LPU. 3. NIT Allahabad.
4. NIT Jaipur.
5. NIT Calicut

IPU-Highest annual salary package for engineering students 31.83 LPA and average at around 5 lakh

VIT-Highest package offered (by Microsoft)  was 39 lakh

Obviously NITs are better than most of the Private Engineering Colleges in India. I would rate the NITs according to their placement and academics -

1. NIT Tiruchirappalli
2. NIT Warangal
3. NIT Rourkela
4. NIT Allahabad
5. NIT Silchar
6. NIT Jaipur
7. NIT Patna

If you don't get top branches in these NITs then you can go for VIT Vellore as its placement and academics is better than LPU. Keep LPU as your last option.
