Hi T Nagamani,
In my opinion, IIIT Bangalore is much better than the NIT, Trichy Metallurgy branch.
First, you need to understand that in IIIT Bangalore, there is no course for single B.Tech, you have to opt a 5-year integrated course i.e. B.tech + M.tech. 4-year B.tech + 1-year M.tech.
In 2018, The average package for B.tech + M.tech course was 15 LPA. The lowest was 8 LPA and the highest was 30 LPA.
You may also remember that last year in March, a student of IIIT Bangalore got a placement in Google of 1.2 crores per annum.
In the case of the Mettalurgical branch of NIT Trichy, the average package is 6 LPA.
Hope this helps you.
All the best!!!
There are various criterias for distinguishing them...
If talking about placements, both IIIT Bangalore and NIT Trichy stand at the same place, they have got similar placements.
But keep in mind, that the fees in IIIT's is much more as compared to NITs. NITs have a moderate fee structure.
Location wise, Bangalore is better of course since it is called the Silicon Valley, you would get better internships here.
Campus of NIT Trichy is far better than IIIT B, since IIIT B has a very small campus.
So consider these points before taking admission in any one of these.
