Hi,

It would completely depend upon your personal choice. If you have a good technical knowledge of Civil Engineering and also want managerial skills, then NITIE would be a right choice for you. Hence, NITIE is more of a management college and boasts of 100% placement with good packages. IITs are better for research work and an M.Tech from an IIT would fetch you lower packages than b.Tech students (except CS/ EC/ EE). Both the colleges have great faculties and amazing infrastructure. If you want an IIT tag , you can go for an M.Tech in Structural Engineering from an old IIT, else go for NITIE for a PG Diploma in Industrial Engineering.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

Hey Mohit,

I will suggest you to go for older IITs as they will provide you a better exposure when compared to NITIE. Older IITs will provide you various opportunities so that you can excel in your career. IITs will have better faculties and facilities when compared to NITIE. So better go for the IIT. I hope you have got your answer.

Good luck !
