now currently I am studying class 12 (bio computer)group.I have some doubts whether I can study bio medical engineering without maths?
So you are basically an engineering aspirant from a biology field.
-
Biomedical engineering is a course for doctors with an engineering and creative mind. From today's perspective, it is one of the best course to get enrolled in. This newly developed field has various job opportunities such a Biomedical technician, Biomedical engineer, a physician, Software developer and last but not the least Teacher and also research related opportunities as you may pursue further studies in this like M.E. and M.phil.
-
But since its kind of a really new course so there are limited seats for this course so you need to work really hard for getting enrolled in this course.
-
Eligibility criteria for this course are that you must have done your 10+2 with Biology/maths, physics and chemistry as subjects and must score above 50% for applying. Different colleges have adopted different ways of giving admission to this course. Some of them give admission on merit basis and others on the basis of CET that is common eligibility test like Jee Mains and advanced, UPSEE, etc. and some renowned private colleges conduct their individual entrance tests also for eg. BITSAT, LPUNEST, etc. Syllabus for entrance examinations is the same as for the boards of a non-medical science student that is it has maths as an essential part. So, for scoring well in these entrance exam you have to rely mostly on the chemistry and physics portion. So, you can study biomedical engineering without maths but you have to work harder than others in physics and chemistry.
- You have to score really well on both boards and entrance exams. This field has countless opportunities and average job packages. You can opt to work with firms like various hospitals and medical companies.
I conclude this by wishing you luck for your boards and entrance exam and if you haven't applied for Jee mains yet then hurry to apply as soon as possible.
