I would suggest you to start your preparation for CAT as soon as possible if you are able to strike a balance between your B.com (//B.com) and CAT preparation.

If you start your coaching or self study now, atleast you will be an edge ahead than your peers. There is no harm in starting CAT preparation early, infact it helps to gain speed and build your aptitude. It helps to improve your thinking and broaden the perspective. For example- Every article you read, you will be paying more attention to it because you start thinking from GD and WAT point of  view. So if possible, I will suggest you to start CAT preparation as early as possible for you.

Its up to you it depends on your plans for higher post graduation studies. If you want to join for MBA as soon as you graduated you can prepare CAT on final year of B.com.

IF you are planniing for a gap/break , you can do after B.com.

Its upto you . if you wish to continue MBA after B.com without having a break you can start preparing for cat while pursuing the final year.

if not , you can prepare for cat after completing B.Com
