In order to gain admission to a universtiy in Canada, you must first check the individual university requirements for admission because they often differ. The top Canadian colleges include:

For some universities, you will need to provide SAT scores, and for others, 12th marksheets/transcripts from a recognized state or secondary board is enough. For IB board students, there are usually no standardized test requirements.

The application process usually begins in fall for the next year's intake and you will need to provide various documents like statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, resume, personal statement, application form etc.

You will also need to provide English language proficiency test scores. Scores from IELTS Academic and TOEFL iBT are usually accepted in most Canadian universities. An IELTS score of 6.5-7.0+ or a TOEFL score of 90-100+ should get you into any desired college.

Additionally, for a program in biotechnology you must be a student from the science stream and have taken mathematics as a subject in 12th.
