Each Engineering branch has its own career prospects. So you need to leave aside the scope, work etc and give utmost importance to what's your choice.

Do what you want to do because there's no use of choosing a field based on public opinion .

You can choose your branch according to your interest:

- If you are interested in computers, programming , you keep experimenting with your computer and Technology and you are strong enough in Mathematics and logic making skills then you can opt for Computer Science Engineering

- if you are interested in bike and car designing , you are interested in knowing about working of various machines and like to make new mechanism,

You can choose mechanical engineering , this branch requires  lot of hard work . Also there are lot of job opportunities if you are talented and hard working.

- if you are interested in building making then go for civil engineering . But career options in this branch are limited as compared to other branches . But if you are skillful and hardworking then there are lot of opportunities for you.

- if you are interested in working or designing of electrical appliances, repairing of switch boards or if you are interested in sensors , then you can go for Electrical and Electronics branches.

I think now you can decide which branch is suitable for you. Opportunities definitely follow those students who select the right academic slot.

Every branch has good future because without these links are interlinked, for example you make an office then you require civil engineers to make building, eletrical engineers, computer engineers, mechanical engineers. Its up to you which branch you chose according to your interest.

Take the one, which you'll like. Means, you should choose that branch, you're interested in. That only help you for a good future. If you like coding, network related things, go for CS, IT. If you like gadgets, go for ETC. If you're curiosity about mechanism behind a bridge, a large mansion, go for CE. If you're interested in cars, go for automobile. Actually your question is a bit twisty because every branch you study have good future but it is based on your hardwork towards that branch if you study well then you may get good chances whether it is any branch. It only depends on your point of view
