There is still no official confirmation on this. So far its only based on speculation in the media. Until and unless MCI comes up with the notification this news cannot be confirmed.

Official statement is that it is envisaged (predicted / anticipated / expected) that NTA will conduct exams from 2019 onwards. Some news reports are saying that NEET 2019 will be held in December 2018. But there is no official data about it.
