Hello greetings

This year National testing agency has organised JEE main exam and the exam was spread across many shifts so the national testing agency cannot give the same question paper 2 all therefore in different question papers there may be case of different difficulty levels therefore to avoid any kind of partiality in terms of difficulty level of the exams the percentile scores are calculated in a particular shift but once the percentile score are calculated that can be compared with other shift students since direct absolute score cannot be comparible therefore there is an idea of percentile scores which can be compared to calculate the rank.

but this percentile score is not the final percentile score because after the JEE main April exam those who have appeared for both exams the better of the two normalised score will be counted for the rank calculation.

Hope this helps all the best
