nuclear medicine md vs dnb ? are bothe equal ?
Answer (1)
Diplomate of National Board (DNB) is a Post-graduate Master's degree same as MD/MS degree awarded to the Specialist Doctors in India after completion of three year residency. It is equal to Doctorate of Medicine (DM) and Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) degrees awarded respectively in medical and surgical super specialities.
Persons possessing DNB qualification on the basis of which they have already been promoted as Associate Professor/Professor in the concerned department, may be treated at par with MD/MS in the broad-speciality and DM/M.Ch. in the Super- Speciality without any further teaching/research experience.
DNB clearance Exam is same for all in a given Batch and Stream for all students all over India.
MD/MS have exam standards different as per different universities.
In India Both degrees are equivalent in all aspects.
Hope this helps !
