Nursing pg specialisation courses in osmania university

Hello Madhur,

Currently, Osmania University doesn't offer PG Specialisation in Nursing. You can try in other good universities for this course. The mode of admission is mostly through Entrance Examination or through marks obtained in qualifying examination and personal interview.  I am listing some of the names of the colleges which offer Nursing PG courses :

• CMC, VELLORE : The college conducts an Aptitude Assessment for the candidates interested in M.Sc Nursing.

Specialisations Offered :

• Medical Surgical
• Paediatrics
• Obs & Gynae
• Community Health
• Psychiatry

Eligibility Criteria :

• B.Sc (Nursing)/ B.Sc Hons. (Nursing)/ PB Nursing with 55% marks in aggregate.
• Candidates applying for this course must have registered with Nursing Council/ Midwifery. At least one-year of experience in a college or hospital.

Basically, selection is done on the basis of the merit and the candidate who is having the experience of minimum 1 year is selected sure shot.

• MMC, Chennai : Here, for all PG Diploma and MD & MS courses, 50% seats are reserved for State Quota while rest of the seats are filled on the basis of valid NEET-PG score.

Eligibility Criteria :

• Degree in B.Sc (Nursing) with 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
• Those candidates should have one year of experience after B.Sc (Nursing) or one year of experience prior or after PB (Nursing) to secure admission in M.Sc (Nursing).

Admission is offered purely on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination followed by a performance in the entrance examination conducted by Directorate of Medical Education, Chennai.
