If your 1 yr drop not resulted good then you can try for a second drop, if you have self confidence about appearing and clearing the exam with a good course. As, you have dropped 1 yr, you are almost aware about the question pattern and also you are more clear about the concepts now, so if you decided to do btech only through jee, then you can go for another year drop and try to cover up all your mistake during preparation. First find where you lacked this year, then clear all of them and then start again. Don't stress much, if you have another option than appearing jee this year, than think about it which is good for your future, where you have your interest area, go for it.
