Hello there,
It's very difficult for you to get a seat in any NIT with 36k category rank. Your category rank should be within 4000 to 5000 maximum. Considering you come under the Home State Quota, you still have negligible chances of getting a seat in NIT Delhi. Don't worry, you can still get some good private colleges with this rank. You should apply for some state counseling.

Also note that the cut-off rank changes every year depending on the difficulty of the paper, and the number of candidates appearing for it.
