banking of roads is generally done in order to find the safe speed for vehicles travelling on the road in order to take take a curve smoothly without falling or slipping down from the surface.
The safe banking speed for roads is calculated by by creating the the centripetal force to componental force due to gravity, which is given by the expression Mg (sin)= mv^2/r. Hence, the safe banking speed is given by v= √gr (sin).
