Hello!
The counselling of WBJEE will be done on the basis of both your general and category rank. You will be asked to give your preferences in a specific order you desire. If the top most thing in your preference is available to you via general rank then you will be alloted that via general category and if not it is checked whether it is available to you via category rank if yes than you are alloted it via your category rank. This process is repeated from top to bottom for each of your preference.

Hello Aspirant,
WBJEE counselling is done on the basis General category rank if you belong to outside West Bengal and of any category there is no seats on the basis of category for outsiders.
For students belonging to WB state they will have category quota as well.
