Hope you are doing well these days!
At any given instant all the points of wavefront act as a secondary source of light. The waves generated by these secondary sources have light of wavelengths frequency and velocity. They make their own wavelets. Finally the common tangent envelopes overall wavelets gives secondary wavefront.
