Since this ranking is done by using several parameters which further has been assigned different weightage depending upon the type of institution which means this ranking contains complete information about any institution within its score.

Parameters on which NIRF ranking is done are as follows:
1. Teaching, Learning & Resources : (Ranking Weightage =0.30, 100 Marks)
2. Research and Professional Practice: (Ranking Weightage =0.30, 100 Marks)
3. Graduation Outcomes: (Ranking Weightage =0.20, 100 Marks )
4. Outreach and Inclusivity: (Ranking Weightage =0.10, 100 Marks)
5. Perception: (Ranking Weightage =0.10, 100 Marks)
