one of my friend's mother name is wrong in high school. totally different name like name printed on higj school marksheet is saroj agrawal however name is rajni singh. but in 12 and graduation it is correct. what is alternative if board denied as three years has been passed. will affidavit work

So the situation is a bit tricky because as you said three years have passed since then so now you cannot apply for correction. You have not mentioned which board did your friend graduated. So in that case it becomes difficult to say but in general it is seen that at a maximum of two years is provided for any name/surname changes. since that is not the case as you have mentioned of affidavit so yes that is the only option I can see. Make an affidavit regarding the mistake that both the person are same and then issue it in a news paper to make it legit. I am sure that would solve the issue.

Hello. The best solution to this is contact the board where the name was misprinted. And then depending on the solution provided by them, provide an article proving that her original name is rajni Singh and not any other.
And above all I guess first discuss this with the authority, if they have no issue, there would be no problem.
