Only NCERT is best for neet or some additional reference books are required?

NCERT books are good for NEET preparations but a little extra help is always good. As there are a lot of study material out in the market it gets hard to find out books, that has turned out to be beneficial for many.

You can refer to the following study materials.

• Objective Biology by Dinesh
• Modern’s ABC for Biology – Part 1 and 2
• GR Bathla Publications for Biology
• Exploring Biology – 2 Volumes by Sanjay Sharma and Sudhakar Banerjee
• Medical Entrance Biology – 3 Volumes by Mamta R Solanki and Lalita Ghotik (Target Publications)

This section contains questions from Botany and Z oology. So books regarding that are a must, to be referred.

For Physics:

• Concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma
• Problems in General Physics by IE Irodov
• Objective Physics by DC Pandey
• Objective Physics by Prof. Saty Prakash Arya (MTG Publishers)
• Concepts of Competition Physics for CBSE PMT by Agarwal

It is the toughest part where in the candidate’s conceptual knowledge is put to test in great deal. Here working with just the NCERT Physics textbook won’t be enough.

There are 45 questions from Inorganic, Organic and Physical Chemistry with 15-mark question from each part.

NEET is a highly competitive exam taken by many students each year, thus just going through NCERT texts would just make your foundation strong. The 50 % portion do come from the NCERT texts, but that’s just not enough to crack NEET. With other study materials than ncert aspirant one should solve various past year papers at the stipulated time of three hours. The paper is of mcq type and speed and accuracy is the key, one could give various mock tests online for free to access themselves.

For biology , put of 90 questions which are asked, it can be expected that 75 to 80 questions are asked directly from the NCERT biology.

Physics and chemistry is part numerical based and part theoretical.

Previous years papers and sample papers will give an idea.

However practice is really important.

Hc verma for physics and NCERT chemistry is good enough.
