Assuming you are from Maharashtra State and have the domicile, after JEE Main you should give importance to MHTCET and prepare well. Best State Technical Institutes like VJTI Mumbai, KJ Somaiya, SPIT Mumbai, VIT Pune and COEP have excellent faculty, research facilities and placements as far as Electrical Engineering is concerned. Secondly, Institutes under Mumbai and Pune University have a very strong curriculum and provide effective engineering education.

However, as a backup, it is always desired you appear for COMEDK. Colleges like RVCE, MSRIT, BMSCE, Dayanand Sagar, NIE Mysore, SIT Tumkur and BIT Bangalore are good technical institutes with a strong employer outlook being located near IT, Technology and Industrial hubs of Bangalore and nearby Hyderabad and Chennai.
