National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)

first and the foremost thing, when you start preparing is to know the pattern of the paper.
Part – I Duration: 1 Hour 30
Mins

Mathematics (20 MCQ ) - 40 marks
General Aptitude (40 MCQ) - 80 marks
There is no negative marking.
Part – II Duration: 1 Hour 30 Mins .
Drawing (Two Sets) in A4 Size Paper – 2 Qs x 40 = 80 marks

Preparation Strategy:
1) Books that you can refer
:
• Architecture Entrance Book by P. K.
Mishra
• NATA Examination ( Verbal / Non- Verbal / Reasoning ) by R.S. Agarwal
• NATA Entrance Examination by Arihant Book
2) Practice 2D drawing, 3D drawing and develop Perspective for the drawing part.
3) As a part of your preparation, note down famous national buildings and international buildings. You might be asked to spot the structures.
4) Try previous year question papers! - *must*
This will help you understand the types of questions asked in the exam.
There are no set number of hours that you must study to crack this exam. I think studying smartly is more important. If you will start enjoying the preparation – you will end up clearing the exam with ease.
