Dear aspirant,

Generally to get admission to IITs/NITs you need a board exam percentage of 75% and above for the general and general-EWS category.

This year this has been relaxed and thus it is enough if you pass the class 12 board examination of a recognized board. This has not been made into a policy decision yet. It is a one-time decision taken to abate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the students.

Hope this helps.

Hello Aspirant

The grade that candidates received on their class 12 board test will be taken into consideration for admission into IITs, NITs, and CFTIs. Applicants must have received at least a 75 percent passing grade in this exam, and 65 percent for SC/ST candidates.

Thanks
