Hello ravi,
ONGC gives following weightage for selection on the day of result declaration :
1 - GATE Score (60% weightage)
For this divide your GATE score by 1000 and multiply by 60. E.g. my GATE PE 2018 score is 966 so 966/1000 = 0.966 * 60 = 57.96. So my score out of 60 in GATE Score parameter is 57.96
2 - Qualification (25% weightage)
Here the degree which you have completed or are currently in final year of studying is considered for evaluation irrespective of the % marks you have scored in your degree exam.
B.Tech = 20 marks, B.Tech + M.Tech = 20 marks and B.Tech + Phd = 25 marks. But you need to have more than 60% marks in the minimum needed qualification i.e. B.Tech to qualify for ONGC selection process.
3 - Interview (15% weightage)
ONGC AEE interviews are generally conducted from May to June and are of 15 marks. Your interview marks /15 will be directly added to your final score. But there is a cutoff for the interviews i.e. minimum marks that one needs to get in the interview to qualify for final selection or get empanelled. In 2017, qualifying marks in the interview were 9/15 for GEN category and if a person scores less than 9 marks then he will be out of ONGC selection process no matter he is AIR 01.
I hope this helps.
Thank You!
Dear Ravi
Ravi your percentage is less than 0.01% in your UG Degree B.Tech through which you can't be able to apply for the any PSU.
All the best
No. PSUs are quite strict about this so chances are practically nil. Sorry.
