The eligibility requirement for pursuing Anaesthesia PG program is a successful completion of MBBS UG course of 5 years from a reputed college and educational institution which should be approved from the Medical Council of India (MCI). Almost all the recognized medical colleges in India permits  candidates in this branch for admission based on the marks obtained in the centralized entrance exams that is held at both national and state level.

M.Sc. in Anesthesia is a post graduate course in science. The 2- year long course is spread over 4 semesters, with each semester lasting for a period of 6 months. This is a professionally- oriented course involving specialization in anesthesia which is imperative in surgery, emergency wards and in ICUs (Intensive Care Units).



The average course fee charged in India ranges between INR 1 to 3 Lacs, depending upon the institute offering the course. The basic criterion of eligibility for admission to the course is graduation (B.Sc.) completed from a recognized university with Chemistry, Physics and Biology as main subjects, and a minimum aggregate score of 45%.
