In general the eligibility criteria for PhD in Hindi is passed master's degree in hindi from a recognized University securing 55% aggregate, there is relaxation of 5% for reserved categories, the admission process may bw donw rhrough entrance test conducted by universities, or it may be based on themerit of the qualifying examination, many colleges or universities consider scores of nationel level exams such as UGC NET, hence the qualified ones are exempted for appearing in university level entrance exam however there are interview process where candidates need to demonatrate his research ideas to the faculty interviewing him/her, some of the top universities regarding this are Delhi University, JNU, Mumbai University, Gujarat University,  Gauhati University, Alagappa University, Anna University  to name a few.
