In comparison to various other private engineering colleges in Kolkata st.thomas is by far much better, its not the best ! But yes better than many others. It ranks amongst the top 5 private engineering colleges.

Professors-I personally consider the best professors available in college is for C.S.E. department(although I did my b.tech in E.C.E :p)but the common thing among all of them is that you can reach out to them anytime for your guidance.



Campus&alumni- well the only thing which drove me everyday towards college was the college ground . It's simply impeccable ! You can play cricket, football &volleyball as well . There's a separate court for badminton and a common room where you can play table tennis.



The worst thing you can expect here is that you don't have a alumni. Keeping in touch with your seniors is the only way to make your own personal alumni,atleast that's what I do .



Placements -studying in a private colleges like St.thomas would mostly fetch you IT jobs from campus recruitment irrespective of your branch . The mass recruiter areCTSandInfosys. The most important thing is that placements totally depend on the current market situation. It might be that today the market situation is very good and you bag a job for yourself but on the other hand if suppose just the next day market crashes and you might end up getting nothing but there is always a room outside campus which you can look forward too.
