SCRA is a class of entrance exam to directly in the Indian Railways on better posts, organised by UPSC. SCRA means
Special Class Railway Apprentice.
This year SCRA releases only 42 posts for the 2018-19 session for SCRA 2018.
Below is the eligibility criteria you can check
1- The candidate should be in between the age of 17 to 21 years in January 2018. The age relaxation criteria are there for reserved categories. For SC/ST 5 years, for OBC 3 years, For defence service 3 years and for Ex- serviceman/ Millatry services 5 years. All should be according to acts of Indian Governments.
2- The candidate should pass in 12th class with mathematics as a compulsory subject along with Physics or chemistry as a choice subject.
3- The applicant should have the minimum 2nd division in 12th class.
4- The candidate who passed the exams of the first year of 3 year degree program with the minimum 2nd division.
5- All the candidates are eligible who are in the first year of graduation, that is passed in the exam of the first year.
6- Candidates who are passed in Pre- Engineering with at-least 2nd division are also go for this exam.

- Negative Marking: There is negative marking in SCRA 2018.
- Mode: The mode of examination will be offline. Use of black ball pen is there, no other pen is allowed.
- Exam Pattern: The exam will be held in two parts. The first part will be a written exam of 600 marks. This will contain English, General Knowledge and Psychology.
The 2nd exam will be of Physical Science of 200 marks. The duration of exam will be of 2 hours. After that, the Exam of Mathematics is there. This exam will also be of 2 hours and of 200 marks.
