MPPSC ( Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission ) :- It is the administrative as well as independent body that is responsible for the recruitment of candidates to various service posts in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India by conducting competitive examination.
Eligibility Criteria for the MPPSC state service examination
1. A candidate must be an Indian citizen.
2. Candidates obtain a degree from any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other recognised educational institutions.
3. Candidates who have appeared in their final degree examination, awaiting results will also be eligible to appear in the preliminary examination. However, candidates who will qualify and get shortlisted by the Commission for taking the State Services (main) examination, will be required to produce compulsorily mark sheet/proof of passing the requisite examination along with their application form for the main examination.
4. Aspirants with professional and technical qualifications, which are recognised by the State Government as equivalent to a professional or technical degree, would be eligible to take the examination as well.
Age Limit - A candidate must be at least 21 years to appear in the preliminary test but must not have attained the age of 40 years on the first of January, following the date of publication of the advertisement. However, the upper age limit for the permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh has been fixed at 45 years, formulated under certain conditions.
5. Candidates must be in good mental and physical health and free from any serious physical defects.
MPPSC State service exam is the examination conducted by the conducting body known as Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission. The MPPSC State Services Prelims is of 4 Hours duration.
Exam Pattern
1. MPPSC State services Prelims Exam Pattern :- The preliminary examination will comprise two papers of objective type (multiple choice questions) and carry a maximum of 450 marks. It is divided into two papers
- Paper 1 :- The subject of exam is general studies. The duration of the exam is 2 hrs and the total marks for this paper is 150.
- Paper 2 :- The Paper-II optional Papers are: Agriculture , Economics , Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science , Indian History , Zoology , Geography , Botany , Geology , Chemistry , Political Science , Physics , Public Administration, Mathematics , Sociology , Statistics , Criminology and Forensic Science , Civil Engineering , Psychology , Electrical Engineering , Philosophy , Mechanical Engineering , Law , Commerce.
The question papers will be of objective type (multiple choice question) and each question will have four probable answer choices grouped under A, B, C and D of which only one will be the correct answer. The candidate is required to mark in the answer book, only A, B, C or D as selected by test takers to be the correct answer. All question papers except that of Engineering subjects will be in Hindi and English. Question paper in Engineering subjects will be composed in English language only.
2. MPPSC State services Mains Exam Pattern :- Only the MPPSC prelims qualified candidates will be permitted to appear in the main examination of MPPSC State Service examination. The main examination is composed of subjective questions. The mode of the MPPSC main exam is offline. Post examination, candidates will need to appear in the interview round which will carry 250 marks. This written examination is divided into two sections
Section 1
- Paper 1 :- Subject is General Studies and duration of paper is 3 hrs and marks for this paper is 300.
- Paper 2 :- Subject is General Studies and duration of paper is 3 hrs and marks for this paper is 300.
- Paper 3 :- Subject is General Hindi and duration of paper is 3 hrs and marks for this paper is 300.
Section 2
Any two subjects are to be selected. Each subject will have two papers. Each paper will have 300 marks. The subjects are Agriculture , Geology , Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science , Political Science and International Relations , Zoology , Public Administration , Botany , Sociology , Chemistry , Criminology and Forensic Science , Physics , Psychology , Mathematics , Philosophy , Statistics , Law , Civil Engineering , Hindi literature , Electrical Engineering , English literature , Mechanical Engineering , Sanskrit literature , Commerce & Accountancy , Urdu literature , Economics , Anthropology , History , Military Science , Geography.
