Please can anyone tell me can I fill form of cat, if had a backlog in 3rd semester and now I am in 5th semester of my graduation

Hi Ravi. Yes you can write CAT, provided you clear your backlog. It is necessary to pass in all semesters in your graduation with at least 50% marks in order to qualify for the same. The institute would also demand a provisional degree or a course completion certificate from your graduation college during various stages during the admission process.

Having cleared all backlogs, yes you are eligible for appearing in CAT exam keeping in mind that you have a provisional passing certificate ready stating that you have cleared all the semesters and have an aggregate score of 50% above.
And now you can go ahead and appear for CAT'18.
Try to score a 90+ percentile to strengthen your chances of getting good calls from IIMs.

If you are in final year of graduation then you can appear for CAT exam.
You should however clear all backlogs and must have provisional degree certificate or course completion certificate while CaT counselling for documents verification
