For agricultural and veterinary courses, there are many central and state colleges that give admissions based on their own entrance examinations. The two undergraduate programs for agricultural and veterinary courses are-
• B.Sc. Agriculture
• BVSc
Bachelors of Science in Agriculture (B.sc Agriculture)
B.Sc. Agriculture is a 4-year undergraduate degree that involves the study of agricultural sciences and the use of modern scientific equipment and techniques in agriculture, land surveying, soil science, water resource management, animal, and poultry management, basics of biotechnology etc.
Admission in this course can be either through merit or through entrance examinations. Following entrances, you can give-
1) ICAR AIEEA- It is a national level entrance exam that is conducted in the month of May. Application forms are available from April. There are many government institutions in all over India that accept the ICAR AIEEA score for admission to various courses related to agriculture.
2) EAMCET- AP EAMCET is governed by JNTUK (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University), Kakinada on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). It is a state-level entrance exam offering admissions into various UG courses offered by colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The AP EAMCET Agriculture Exam is conducted in the month of April. Forms are available in the month of February.
3) PAU- Punjab Agricultural University conducts entrance examinations for admission to various UG, PG, and Ph.D., programmes. You can give AAT & CET exams for admission in B.Sc. Agriculture.
4) OUAT- Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology also conducts entrance exams for admission to various courses. Application forms are available in the month of February and the exam is held in the month of April.
5) UPCATET- Uttar Pradesh Combined Agricultural and Technology Entrance Test is conducted by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut for admission in various for Under Graduates and Post Graduate Programs. The exam is held in the month of May and application forms are available in the month of February.

Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc and A.H)
It is a 3-year undergraduate programme that deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, disorder, and injury in animals. Admission in this course is now on the basis of Merit position in NEET (UG) exam.
Hence you need to give NEET (UG) if you want admission in this course.
Many private colleges offer Direct Admission to B.Sc. Agriculture and related courses but for B.V.Sc and A.H, it is mandatory to give NEET.
