Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is held every year for admissions into Indian's most prestigious Technical and Science Institutions like IIT, IISc, IIST.
To be eligible for JEE Advanced, one needs to qualify the JEE Mains with the required cutoff.
Steps for selection:
- Register and appear for JEE Advanced and score well
- Register for Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling, through which you will fill your top choices in university, program and course
- In an interval of time, rounds' result would be declared of JoSAA counselling where in you would be provided the seat in respective university according to your choice and preference
- If you are satisfied by the allocation, you can freeze your seat and go for further process nor you can wait for upcoming rounds
- Once you freeze the seat, you will have to pay a mandatory fees and proceed to university campus for confirming the admission with documents and remaining fees
To prepare for JEE Advanced:
- Gather resources which are highly recommended for the exam, note preparing from Board point of view will not fetch you good marks and you need to prepare much more than for JEE Mains
- Prepare the concepts and practice more and more questions
- Mind that JEE Advanced is one of the toughest exams so for that you need to prepare well and especially High Ordered thinking questions
- Syllabus consists of Basic to High level concepts from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry of class 11 and 12, to know about that, follow; JEE Advanced Syllabus

jee advance syllabus is same as jee main, but questions is much tougher than jee main, you need to get the cutoff score in jee main to become eligible to appear in jee advance exam. you may follow the below link to know the syllabus,

jee advance exam can be attempted by two tomes, once in the year of 12th pass, and in next years, if you have given 12th exam in 2020, then you may appear in jee main exam on 2020 and 2021.

JEE Advanced is a national level examination conducted by 7 IITs once every year for admission in all IITs, IISC Bangalore, IIST Thiruvananthapuram. Only the candidates who have qualified JEE Main exam are allowed to sit in JEE Advanced exam. Just qualifying JEE Advanced exam is not enough. You have to score good and attain a good rank in order to get admission in IITs, IISC and IIST.
